Mr. John Sturley- John is the PCS Principal, and has been with the school for 25 years of its 27 year history (with the closing of the 2012-2013 school year). He teaches high school Bible and Drama, and is responsible for the over-all operations of the school. A uniqueness of the PCS Drama program has been its travelling “pirate presentation”, sharing historical information concerning the “Golden Age of Piracy” in the Caribbean (1690-1730). The group has presented the program in Oregon, California, and in Lincang, China!

Mrs. Laurie Sturley- Elementary PE- Laurie is a graduate of Mills College, Oakland, California. She is also a Lifetime Certified Outdoor Educator from the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in Lander, Wyoming. She is known for her developing of elementary students in basic skills of volleyball and basketball, and what it means to be a team player, supporting your school classmates in inter-school sports competition. She occasionally enhances the PCS physical educational program by leading students in basic rock climbing/rappelling, utilizing the terrain of our beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains.

Miss Willo Vieira- Willo is the PCS science, math, logic, and Latin teacher for PCS middle school/high school students. She holds a BA degree from California State University, Chico, and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She truly has a wealth of educational background relating to the sciences, as well as many other subjects including being a black belt in karate, a fencing instructor, a 4-H advisor, and AP Physics instructor. She is known for having a great sense of humor, and her helping, caring spirit for each student. She has been with PCS a number of years.
